New ‘Public Files’ Sharing feature for SMEStorage
We have introduced a new feature that is currently in beta but that is live on the site. It allows you to set a file / files to be public. Once it has been set to public the files can be accessed from your public url which takes the format: http://www.smetube.com/smestorage/users/
To set the file to be public just click on the file and then the share file icon (the icon to the very right of the file name). Choose to set the file to public and then click ‘Set’.

Once the file is uploaded if you go to your public files url as described above you will see the shared public files

You can tell that the file is now public as opposed to just shared with a Group as the box around the file has two red spikes comes from it that designate it as public.
